Unleashing the Scholar's Potential: A Detailed Analysis of Strengths and Weaknesses in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As you embark on your journey as a Scholar in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4, it is essential to understand the unique strengths and weaknesses that shape this healing job. By harnessing the power of knowledge, faeries, and ancient spells, Scholars have the ability to become invaluable assets on the battlefield. In this comprehensive analysis, we will explore the Scholar's exceptional strengths and areas that require careful consideration, enabling you to maximize your effectiveness as a Scholar.

Strengths:

  1. Mitigation Mastery: Scholars boast access to some of the strongest mitigative actions in the game. This invaluable toolkit empowers you to proactively reduce incoming damage, safeguarding your party members from harm. Through powerful shields and mitigation abilities, you can fortify your allies against even the most potent threats, creating a solid defense against adversity.

  2. Agile Damage Potential: The Scholar's ability to seamlessly weave damage-dealing spells into their healing rotations provides a unique advantage. With an on-demand instant-cast damage spell, Scholars can maintain constant mobility while dealing a respectable amount of DPS. This agility allows you to swiftly reposition during battles without sacrificing a significant portion of your damage output, ensuring optimal efficiency in combat.

  3. Leading Raid DPS: In a fully optimized party, Scholars are renowned for providing the highest raid DPS among all healers. By expertly balancing healing and DPS, skilled Scholars can contribute substantially to the party's overall damage output while still fulfilling their primary healing responsibilities. This extraordinary damage potential elevates the Scholar's role to that of a formidable force, capable of turning the tide of battle in their party's favor.

  4. Remote Healing Mastery: The bond between a Scholar and their fairy companion allows for remote healing capabilities. By utilizing the fairy as an extension of themselves, Scholars can heal party members from a distance, ensuring that no ally is left without the necessary support. This unique aspect of the Scholar's toolkit enhances their versatility, especially in encounters where close proximity is not always feasible.

Weaknesses:

  1. DPS Sacrifice for Healing: One of the primary weaknesses of Scholars lies in the trade-off between healing and DPS. When utilizing Aetherflow stacks for healing purposes, Scholars experience a reduction in their damage output. This delicate balance requires careful resource management, ensuring that healing needs are met while optimizing damage potential. Skilled Scholars must navigate this challenge to maintain their effectiveness in both roles.

  2. Limited Instant-Cast Spells: Scholars have limited access to instant-cast spells that do not incur a DPS cost. While the job possesses various abilities that can be cast instantly, these actions often come at the expense of DPS. This limitation necessitates strategic planning and decision-making to ensure that instant-cast spells are utilized judiciously, maximizing efficiency in both healing and damage-dealing.

  3. Kit Conflict: The Scholar's kit, though versatile, is not without conflicts. Certain aspects of the Scholar's abilities and mechanics may seem contradictory or counterproductive when used in tandem. This complexity requires a deep understanding of the job's intricacies and demands careful coordination and adaptation during intense encounters. Skilled Scholars must navigate these conflicts skillfully to maintain optimal performance.

By embracing the Scholar's strengths and acknowledging their weaknesses, you can forge a path to mastery and effectively contribute to your party's success in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4. Harness the power of mitigation, wield arcane spells with finesse, and adapt to the ever-changing demands of the battlefield. With each challenge you overcome, you will further refine your skills and solidify your place as an exceptional Scholar, heralded for your unwavering support and indomitable spirit.

Unleashing the Power Within: A Comprehensive Guide to Scholar Gauges in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar in Final Fantasy XIV's expansive realm, you possess two distinct job gauges that serve as the wellspring of your abilities and fuel your healing prowess. In this detailed analysis of Scholar gauges, we will explore the intricacies of the Aetherflow Gauge and the Faerie Gauge, empowering you to unleash their full potential and elevate your effectiveness on the battlefield in Endwalker 6.4.

  1. Aetherflow Gauge: The Aetherflow Gauge is a vital aspect of the Scholar's toolkit, holding up to three stacks of Aetherflow. This gauge is fully replenished upon executing either the Aetherflow ability or Dissipation. It serves as the cornerstone of several of the Scholar's most potent healing actions and even provides access to a powerful DPS ability.

Smart utilization of Aetherflow stacks is paramount to successful Scholar gameplay. An effective healing strategy involves using Aetherflow heals and free off-global cooldown (oGCD) heals in place of global cooldown (GCD) heals. By capitalizing on Aetherflow abilities, you can optimize your healing output, ensuring efficient resource management. A truly exceptional healing plan allows Scholars to allocate a significant portion of their Aetherflow stacks to DPS abilities, contributing substantially to party damage.

  1. Faerie Gauge: The Faerie Gauge is another essential gauge that empowers the Scholar's healing capabilities. It can hold up to 100 Fae Aether, which is generated by using any Aetherflow action in combat while the fairy is summoned. Regardless of whether you expended an Aetherflow stack or used Recitation, each Aetherflow action will generate 10 Fae Aether.

The accumulated Fae Aether can be utilized to cast Fey Union, a remarkable channeled fairy ability that heals the target every three seconds. With each activation, Fey Union consumes 10 Fae Aether from the gauge, ensuring sustained healing support for your designated target.

Furthermore, when the Seraph is summoned via the Summon Seraph ability, the Faerie Gauge takes on an additional role. It displays the remaining duration of Seraph's presence on the field, allowing you to gauge its effectiveness and plan your actions accordingly.

By mastering the intricacies of the Aetherflow Gauge and the Faerie Gauge, Scholars can unleash the full potential of their healing abilities and strategically allocate resources for both healing and DPS contributions. Embrace the challenge of optimizing your gauges, carefully balancing healing and damage-dealing, and become a Scholar who wields unparalleled restorative power on the battlefield.

Remember, as you delve deeper into Endwalker 6.4, each interaction with your gauges will refine your skills, offering new insights and opening doors to even greater mastery. Embrace the power that lies within these gauges, orchestrate the harmony between Aetherflow and Faerie, and let your healing prowess shine as you embark on unforgettable adventures in the realm of Eorzea.

Optimizing Gear: A Scholar's Guide to Leveling and Gearing in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar progressing through the ranks in Final Fantasy XIV, staying up to date with your gear is of utmost importance. This holds true not only for all jobs but especially for tanks and healers like the Scholar. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the intricacies of gearing while leveling, ensuring that you are equipped with the best possible gear to enhance your healing prowess.

Gear Considerations for Scholar: As you journey through Eorzea, it's crucial to prioritize gear upgrades, particularly for tanks and healers. For Scholars, the focus is on acquiring the highest item level healer gear available. Substats are less significant during the leveling process, so do not worry too much about them at this stage. Healer gear can be easily identified by the presence of the Mind stat, and many pieces will have the suffix "of Healing." Embrace the potency of these specialized gear items, as they are tailored to enhance your healing capabilities.

Utilizing the "Equip Recommended Gear" Feature: To streamline the process of equipping the best gear available to you, Final Fantasy XIV provides a convenient feature called the "Equip Recommended Gear" button. Accessible within the Character menu, this function instantly equips the highest item level gear in your possession. By utilizing this feature, you can effortlessly ensure that your Scholar is outfitted with the most optimal gear available, maximizing your potential on the battlefield.

Unlocking Substantial Upgrades with Allagan Tomestones of Poetics: As you approach the level cap for each previous expansion (50, 60, 70, 80), a wealth of substantial gear upgrades awaits. These upgrades can be acquired through the use of Allagan Tomestones of Poetics, a valuable currency that can be obtained by completing various content and tasks. To obtain these coveted Tomestones, seek out Rowena's Representative in major cities, who can be found conveniently located near the city's main Aetheryte. Exchange your hard-earned Tomestones for powerful gear upgrades, ensuring that your Scholar is well-equipped to face the challenges that lie ahead.

Embracing the Path of Progression: As a Scholar, your journey extends far beyond the realm of leveling and gearing. Continual growth and improvement are at the core of your path. Engage in various quests, dungeons, trials, and raids to amass experience and further enhance your gear collection. By challenging yourself with increasingly difficult content, you can unlock exceptional gear that will fortify your Scholar's capabilities and propel you toward the pinnacle of healing mastery.

Unlock the Scholar's True Potential: In Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, the Scholar job beckons you to unlock its true potential as an unparalleled healer. By embracing the quest for optimal gear and staying vigilant in your pursuit of progress, you will ascend to new heights of healing mastery. Equip yourself with the finest gear available, harness the power of your Scholar's abilities, and stand as an indomitable force on the battlefield, bringing hope and restoration to your allies.

Remember, the journey of a Scholar is not merely about the acquisition of gear but the growth of your skills and knowledge. Embrace the challenges that lie before you, seek wisdom in the teachings of the realm, and let your Scholar's brilliance shine in the captivating world of Eorzea.

Resources

A more in-depth explanation is provided in the Scholar Guide, but here is a quick explanation:

  • Aetherflow: Gain three charges when you use Aetherflow Icon Aetherflow or Dissipation Icon Dissipation. Charges are represented by the green diamonds inside the gauge and can be used for a variety of defensive abilities as well as one offensive ability.
  • Fae Aether: Gain 10 Fae Aether whenever you use an Aetherflow consuming ability. Can only be used on Aetherpact Icon Aetherpact.

Action Overview while Leveling Scholar

Offensive Actions

  • Broil IV Icon Broil IV is your single target damage spell. Use it when you have nothing else to do.
  • Biolysis Icon Biolysis is your DoT. Never apply to an enemy that is about to die. Avoid overwriting early. Apply it to mobs while the tank is pulling if you can not hit 4+ with Art of War II Icon Art of War II. Maintain DoT uptime in single target and 2-3 target situations. In 4+ target situations, only apply DoT if you can not hit 4+ targets with Art of War II Icon Art of War II due to mechanics.
  • Ruin II Icon Ruin II is your instant cast damage spell. Use it when you can not cast your standard damage spell due to movement, and your DoT does not need to be refreshed.
  • Art of War II Icon Art of War II is your AoE damage spell and is instant cast. Always use when you can hit 4+ targets. On 2-3 targets, use when your DoT does not need to be refreshed.
  • Energy Drain Icon Energy Drain is your only offensive Aetherflow ability and deals single target damage. Use it when you have unneeded Aetherflow stacks. Optimizing Energy Drain Icon Energy Drain usage is discussed more in depth in other sections.
  • Chain Stratagem Icon Chain Stratagem is a single-target raid buff that increases the Critical Hit Rate of attacks against the targeted enemy. Use it in you opener and then off CD on bosses. You can find information about the opener in the Rotation section, as well as information about optimizing this ability in endgame content.

Single Target Damage Priority

  1. Keep Biolysis Icon Biolysis up.
  2. Use Broil IV Icon Broil IV as your filler.
  3. Use Ruin II Icon Ruin II when you can not cast your standard filler due to movement.

AoE Damage Priority

  1. Use Art of War II Icon Art of War II if it will hit 4+ targets.
  2. Maintain Biolysis Icon Biolysis if the target is not about to die
  3. Use Art of War II Icon Art of War II.

Healing and Defensive Actions

Summon Eos Icon Summon Eos summons your fairy to your side. She will automatically heal party members (including you) that are missing HP using Embrace Icon Embrace. Fairy abilities will originate from her position rather than yours. She can be ordered to stand in a certain spot using the Place Icon Place, and then ordered to follow you again using Heel Icon Heel. Always make sure the fairy is summoned. She will despawn if you Place her and move too far away so be careful.

All of the following abilities are oGCD unless specified to be a GCD. Do not be afraid to use AoE oGCD heals to heal a single target. Some of them are still very useful for this, such as Whispering Dawn Icon Whispering Dawn.

  • Physick Icon Physick is your basic single target GCD heal.
  • Whispering Dawn Icon Whispering Dawn is an AoE fairy regen.
  • Adloquium Icon Adloquium is a GCD single-target heal that grants a shield, Galvanize. It has more overall potency than Physick Icon Physick and should be used over it unless you would be overwriting another Galvanize.
  • Succor Icon Succor is a GCD AoE heal that grants Galvanize.
  • Fey Illumination Icon Fey Illumination is an AoE fairy buff that decreases magic damage taken and increases GCD healing done.
  • Lustrate Icon Lustrate is a single target heal with a near-instant cooldown which costs an Aetherflow stack
  • Sacred Soil Icon Sacred Soil creates a bubble that reduces damage taken for party members inside and heals them over time. It costs an Aetherflow stack. It is your highest priority usage of Aetherflow at this level, both in single target and AoE healing.
  • Indomitability Icon Indomitability is an AoE heal that costs an Aetherflow stack.
  • Deployment Tactics Icon Deployment Tactics extends a Galvanize shield from one party member to all party members within range of them. In trash pulls you can use Adloquium Icon Adloquium on both the tank and yourself prepull and then Deploy your Galvanize once the tank shield breaks. On bosses, you can Deploy an Adloquium off of the tank prepull to provide a larger party shield than Succor Icon Succor. Do not use over Succor during uptime as Succor's combined healing plus shielding is more potency.
  • Emergency Tactics Icon Emergency Tactics is a self-buff that converts the next Galvanize effect from Adloquium Icon Adloquium or Succor Icon Succor you apply into pure healing. This is rarely needed in practice, but is useful if shielding would be wasted either because a Galvanize is already up or a mechanic requires pure healing (such as DRK's Living Dead).
  • Dissipation Icon Dissipation is an ability that forcibly dismisses the fairy for 30s in exchange for three Aetherflow stacks and a powerful GCD healing self-buff. The fairy cannot be resummoned via any means during this 30s. This is a strong ability to use when you have already used all the fairy's abilities and still require more healing. It can also be used near the end of trash pulls so that most of the downside occurs in between pulls, allowing you to start the next pull with full Aetherflow and a buffed Adloquium Icon Adloquium shield on the tank.
  • Excogitation Icon Excogitation is a strong, delayed single-target heal that costs an Aetherflow stack. It heals the target when either their HP drops below 50% (instantly if they already are) or after 45s have passed. This allows it to be used in advance of damage so that its CD starts recovering sooner, without risking overhealing. It should be used over Lustrate Icon Lustrate as it provides more healing, unless you would rather save Excogitation for a specific upcoming damage instance.
  • Aetherpact Icon Aetherpact is a channeled single target fairy heal, effectively functioning as a regen. It costs 10 Fae Aether per heal, with heals occurring every 3s. While channeling, the fairy will not move or cast Embrace Icon Embrace, and using any other fairy ability will end Aetherpact. Be sure not to leave her behind while moving between dungeon pulls.
  • Recitation Icon Recitation is a self-buff that makes the next usage of Adloquium Icon Adloquium, Succor Icon Succor, Indomitability Icon Indomitability, or Excogitation Icon Excogitation not cost either Mana Points or Aetherflow and guarantees the action will Crit. This should usually be used on Indomitability in raids and Excogitation in dungeons, but there are exceptions to this which are touched upon in other sections.
  • Fey Blessing Icon Fey Blessing is an AoE fairy heal.
  • Summon Seraph Icon Summon Seraph replaces the normal fairy with Seraph. Seraph's Embraces provide a shield, Seraphic Veil, as well as their standard healing, and access to Consolation Icon Consolation. While Seraph is summoned you cannot use Aetherpact Icon Aetherpact, Fey Blessing Icon Fey Blessing, or Dissipation Icon Dissipation.
  • Consolation Icon Consolation is an AoE fairy heal that also provides a shield. It can be thought of like an oGCD Succor Icon Succor. You have access to two charges of Consolation during each Summon Seraph Icon Summon Seraph.
  • Protraction Icon Protraction is a single target buff that increases the target's maximum HP and all healing received by the target.

Other Actions

  • Esuna Icon Esuna removes a single debuff from yourself or an ally. Only debuffs with a white bar on top of their icon can be removed.
  • Resurrection Icon Resurrection is your raise ability. Best used with Swiftcast Icon Swiftcast to eliminate the long cast time.
  • Swiftcast Icon Swiftcast removes the cast time from the next spell.
  • Lucid Dreaming Icon Lucid Dreaming restores 3850 mana over 21 seconds. While you do not want to use it on full MP, you also do not want to wait too long to use it. Try to use it when you are missing about 2000 MP.
  • Aetherflow Icon Aetherflow grants you three stacks of Aetherflow and restores 2000 MP. It should be used off CD.
  • Surecast Icon Surecast makes you immune to most knockback effects. It also prevents heavy damage from interrupting casts.
  • Rescue Icon Rescue pulls a party member to your location. Useful when someone is unaware of a mechanic, but try to not use it unnecessarily.

Mastering Dungeon Gameplay: A Scholar's Guide to Thriving in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

Within the depths of dungeons, a Scholar's prowess is put to the test as they navigate treacherous encounters and strive to keep their tank alive during challenging pulls. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the intricacies of dungeon gameplay for Scholars, equipping you with the knowledge and strategies to excel in all scenarios. From trash pulls to boss fights, trials, and raids, let us embark on a journey of healing mastery.

5.1. Dungeon Trash Pulls: Setting the Stage for Success The foundation of successful dungeon runs lies in how effectively you manage your healing toolkit during trash pulls. Here are some key strategies to keep in mind:

  • Summon your fairy at the start of the dungeon to benefit from their invaluable assistance throughout the encounter.
  • Prioritize using Adloquium on the tank before each pull to provide them with a protective shield, mitigating incoming damage.
  • If Deployment Tactics is off cooldown, consider using Adloquium on yourself before pulls to extend the shield to nearby party members.
  • If Recitation and Excogitation are both off cooldown, utilize these abilities on the tank before the pull, providing them with additional healing and a safeguard against heavy damage.
  • Apply Biolysis to the enemy mobs as the tank gathers them up, setting the stage for efficient damage mitigation.
  • Once the mobs are gathered, unleash the power of Art of War II to deal damage while providing supplemental healing to the party.

5.2. Healing in Trash Pulls: Balancing Efficiency and Resource Management During the chaos of trash pulls, efficient healing becomes paramount. Keep the following strategies in mind:

  • Prioritize using off-global cooldown (oGCD) healing abilities before global cooldown (GCD) heals. This helps conserve your precious time and ensures that your healing output remains consistent.
  • Exhaust your available oGCD healing options before resorting to GCD heals, allowing you to maintain a steady flow of healing without sacrificing valuable time.
  • Do not hesitate to utilize AoE oGCD heals, such as Whispering Dawn, even for single-target healing. These abilities can provide substantial healing and contribute to overall party sustainability.

Additionally, consider the cooldown timings of your abilities:

  • Coordinate the use of 60-second cooldowns at the beginning of a pull, ensuring that they will become available again during subsequent pulls, depending on the run's pace.
  • Reserve 90 and 120-second cooldowns for later stages, as they will likely only become available after defeating a boss. Saving these longer cooldowns for trash pulls ensures that you have the necessary healing tools to manage increased damage levels.

5.3. Boss Fights, Trials, and Raids: Unleashing Scholar Supremacy Boss fights and other challenging encounters demand precision and adaptation. Here are key strategies to excel in these scenarios:

  • Keep your Damage over Time (DoT) spells active on the boss at all times, maximizing your damage output while still maintaining healing responsibilities.
  • Maintain the prioritization of oGCD heals over GCD heals, ensuring efficient healing and preserving time for damage-dealing and support actions.
  • Heal strategically, focusing on maintaining the bare minimum HP necessary for party members, rather than continuously striving for full HP.
  • Optimize the use of your excess Aetherflow stacks by utilizing Energy Drain, preferably during 2-minute buffs, maximizing both healing and damage potential.

By applying these strategies and adapting them to suit the unique demands of each encounter, you will harness the true power of the Scholar, becoming an indispensable asset to your party.

Unlocking the Scholar's Potential: Mastering Openers in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

The opening moments of a battle hold immense importance, setting the tone for the encounter and establishing the Scholar's role as a versatile healer. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the various openers available to Scholars, tailored to address the unique healing needs at the beginning of a fight. Whether aligning Chain Stratagem with raid buffs and burst or optimizing the usage of Aetherflow and Dissipation, we will equip you with the knowledge and strategies to unleash the Scholar's full potential.

Choosing the Right Opener: Adapting to Healing Demands As a Scholar, it is crucial to select an opener that suits the healing demands of each encounter. Consider the following factors when deciding which opener to utilize:

  1. Aligning Chain Stratagem: One of the key objectives in any opener is to align Chain Stratagem with the party's other raid buffs and burst. Synchronization of these abilities maximizes the overall damage output and party effectiveness. Coordinate with your fellow party members to ensure that Chain Stratagem is activated at an opportune moment during the opener, amplifying the impact of your combined efforts.

  2. Aetherflow and Dissipation: Flexible Resources Both Aetherflow and Dissipation play integral roles in the Scholar's arsenal. Depending on the fight and expected kill time, the placement of Aetherflow and Dissipation in the opener can be adjusted. Consider the following scenarios:

  • Aetherflow First: This is considered the "standard" opener as it offers flexibility in dropping Energy Drains and utilizing Dissipation. It is commonly used during the initial progression of a fight when healing requirements are still being understood. This opener allows for adaptive healing strategies based on the evolving demands of the encounter.
  • Dissipation First: In specific phases or when the expected kill time allows, opting for Dissipation as the opener provides several advantages. These advantages include better mana management by using Aetherflow later in the opener, an earlier return of the fairy to the field, and the ability to set up future Aetherflow alignments in advance, optimizing burst windows.

Adapting Openers to Progression and Gear During the progression phase of a fight, it is recommended to hold Aetherflow stacks and Dissipation at the start, prioritizing healing until a better understanding of the fight is achieved. This approach allows you and your cohealer to become comfortable with the healing requirements and adjust strategies accordingly. As you gain experience and better gear, you can gradually incorporate Aetherflow and Dissipation into the opener, optimizing your effectiveness from the very start of the battle.

Unleash Scholar's Opening Brilliance In the realm of Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, the Scholar's openers serve as a testament to their adaptability and strategic brilliance. Mastering the art of opener selection, aligning abilities, and optimizing resource usage will empower you to excel in the earliest moments of every encounter. The Scholar's arsenal boasts a plethora of opening strategies, each tailored to suit specific encounters and healing demands. Among these approaches lies the No Swift Opener, a fundamental and accessible method that allows Scholars to dive into battle without the reliance on Swiftcast. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the intricacies of the No Swift Opener, highlighting its simplicity and adaptability while ensuring the Scholar's healing prowess remains uncompromised. Let us delve into the depths of this strategy and unlock its full potential.

Executing the No Swift Opener: A Streamlined Approach The No Swift Opener offers a straightforward execution, making it an ideal choice for Scholars who seek simplicity without sacrificing effectiveness. Here is an overview of the steps involved:

  1. Energy Drain and Dissipation Considerations: One of the key benefits of the No Swift Opener lies in its flexibility regarding Energy Drain and Dissipation usage. You can adjust the frequency of Energy Drain casts and utilize Dissipation strategically based on the healing requirements of each encounter. Adaptability is the key to success when implementing this opener.

  2. Chain Stratagem and Potion Synergy: Chain Stratagem serves as a central component of this opener, providing a significant damage boost to your party. Note that there are five Energy Drain casts within Chain Stratagem and an additional six casts within Potion. Utilize these opportunities to optimize your damage output and bolster your party's effectiveness.

  3. Aetherflow and Dissipation Placement: In certain encounters, the positioning of Aetherflow and Dissipation may need to be adjusted based on the specific healing demands of the fight. Assess the situation carefully and determine whether prioritizing Aetherflow or Dissipation at the start of the opener would be more advantageous. This adaptability ensures that your healing capabilities remain at their peak throughout the encounter.

Unleashing the Scholar's Mastery: The Swift Opener in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

For seasoned Scholars seeking to optimize their damage output and showcase their precise timing, the Swift Opener stands as an advanced strategy that demands skill and meticulous execution. With the utilization of Swiftcast, precise Energy Drain timing, and a well-tuned global cooldown (GCD), the Swift Opener allows Scholars to unleash their full potential on the battlefield. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the intricacies of the Swift Opener, highlighting its advanced mechanics, critical timing, and optimal resource management.

Mastering the Swift Opener: Precision and Timing The Swift Opener requires a deep understanding of timing and the Scholar's toolkit. Prepare yourself for the intricacies involved in executing this advanced strategy. Here is an overview of the key components:

  1. Precise Energy Drain Timing: Central to the Swift Opener is the precise timing of the first Energy Drain after activating Chain Stratagem. It is crucial to hold this Energy Drain until the Chain Stratagem debuff appears on the boss, ensuring that it benefits from the boosted critical hit rate. Attention to detail and keen observation are vital in maximizing the potency of this opener.

  2. Utilizing Swiftcast: The usage of Swiftcast adds another layer of complexity to the Swift Opener. This ability allows for an instant cast of a spell, enabling seamless transitions between actions. Effective utilization of Swiftcast in the opener ensures smooth execution and optimal resource management.

  3. Optimal GCD and Ping Considerations: Achieving the desired timing and GCD rotations in the Swift Opener is essential. Depending on your ping, strive for a GCD of around 2.43 seconds. Fine-tuning your timing in accordance with your individual circumstances allows for a seamless integration of actions and maximum efficiency.

Adaptability and Opener Suitability: The Swift Opener is an advanced strategy that requires precise execution and the ability to utilize all six Aetherflow stacks for damage. Consider the following factors when determining whether the Swift Opener is suitable for a particular encounter:

  • Assess your personal skill level and comfort with executing complex rotations.
  • Evaluate whether you have access to Swiftcast and the ability to utilize all six Aetherflow stacks effectively.
  • Take into account encounter-specific mechanics and healing demands. The Swift Opener may not be ideal for all situations, so adaptability is key.

Unleash Scholar's Full Potential with the Swift Opener In the dynamic world of Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, the Swift Opener stands as a testament to the Scholar's mastery of their craft. Single-Target Rotation Priorities

  1. Maintain Biolysis Icon Biolysis as long as it will be on the boss for at least 15s.
  2. Use Chain Stratagem Icon Chain Stratagem on cooldown after the opener, unless your group is holding buffs due to a specific mechanic or kill time.
  3. Use Broil IV Icon Broil IV whenever you have time to cast it and do not need to GCD heal (This should be >90% of the time).
  4. Use Ruin II Icon Ruin II when you do not have time to cast Broil IV Icon Broil IV due to movement and either can not use it or are holding Swiftcast Icon Swiftcast for safety. Try to avoid this in future runs by prepositioning.
  5. Use Energy Drain Icon Energy Drain when the Aetherflow stacks are not necessary for healing. Try to use these within two-minute raid buffs whenever possible.

Multi-Target Damage

  1. Art of War II Icon Art of War II is a gain at two targets over Broil IV Icon Broil IV.
  2. At two to three targets, maintain Biolysis Icon Biolysis on all targets unless they will die soon.
  3. At four targets, only use Biolysis Icon Biolysis when you can not hit four+ targets due to movement. Otherwise, use Art of War II Icon Art of War II.
    • At the start of dungeon pulls, use Biolysis Icon Biolysis while following the tank.
  4. You can still use Energy Drain Icon Energy Drain in multitarget scenarios, but try to use them on the higher health targets to avoid wasting the damage.

Unleashing Scholar's Movement Mastery: Maintaining Uptime in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, your ability to maximize your damage output relies heavily on maintaining uptime, ensuring that you spend as much time as possible casting spells on the boss. Movement can often hinder this objective, but fear not, for you possess an arsenal of tools to navigate such challenges with finesse. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore various techniques to optimize uptime and minimize the impact of movement on your damage output.

Slidecasting: Seamless Mobility in Action One technique that Scholars can master is known as "slidecasting." By moving before a cast has fully completed without interrupting it, you can maintain a constant flow of spells while remaining mobile. The slidecast window in Final Fantasy XIV offers a generous timeframe compared to other MMOs. Timing may vary based on your ping, but it typically begins around 0.5 seconds before the cast bar reaches its conclusion. Embrace the slidecast mechanic, and you will find yourself agile and prepared to handle most mechanics, effortlessly prepositioning yourself for optimal positioning.

Leveraging Biolysis for Movement Biolysis, your instant-cast damage-over-time (DoT) spell, provides a valuable advantage when it comes to movement. Take advantage of the natural refreshes of Biolysis to freely move during mechanics or to position yourself strategically. It is essential, however, not to force extra DoT refreshes solely for the purpose of movement. Instead, capitalize on the flexibility provided by Biolysis within the natural course of battle.

Swiftcast: A Tool of Instant Action Swiftcast stands as a powerful asset in your repertoire. This ability makes your next spell instant cast, granting you a valuable GCD of free movement. While Swiftcast can be used on Broil IV to ensure uninterrupted damage output, it is important to exercise caution in its usage, particularly during progression or situations where Resurrection may be required. Plan accordingly and allocate Swiftcast judiciously to strike a balance between maintaining uptime and ensuring essential support.

Ruin II: The Last Resort When faced with exceptionally high-movement mechanics or encounters that are yet to be fully optimized, Ruin II emerges as your invaluable last resort. This instant-cast ability allows for infinite free movement at the cost of approximately 25% of a Broil IV's damage. While it is always preferable to maintain a steady rotation of spells, Ruin II serves as a reliable tool to keep your damage output consistent when no other options are available. Remember, even in the face of movement challenges, it is better to utilize Ruin II than to remain idle.

Mastering Uptime, Embracing Versatility Maintaining uptime as a Scholar is a delicate dance that requires adaptability and strategic decision-making. By honing your slidecasting technique, leveraging Biolysis for movement, utilizing Swiftcast judiciously, and employing Ruin II when necessary, you will elevate your Scholar's gameplay to new heights. Embrace the versatility that Scholar offers, seamlessly transitioning between damage-dealing and support as the situation demands.

Prepare yourself for the countless battles that lie ahead, navigate intricate mechanics with finesse, and let your Scholar's brilliance shine on the grand stage of Eorzea. The time has come to unleash your movement mastery, optimize uptime, and leave an indelible mark as an exceptional Scholar in Final Fantasy XIV's captivating realm.

Stat Priority and Materia Melding Guide for Scholar: Maximizing Performance in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, understanding the importance of stat priority and optimal materia melding is key to unlocking your full potential in the realm of Eorzea. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the intricacies of stat priority and provide invaluable insights for materia melding. Additionally, we are proud to announce that Simple Carry offers Omega Savage services, providing a convenient solution for those seeking to gear up quickly and efficiently.

Stat Priority: Unleashing Scholar's Potential When considering stat priority for Scholar, it is crucial to understand the impact of each attribute on your performance. Let's explore the essential stats and their implications:

  1. Critical Hit: Critical Hit scales quadratically and synergizes particularly well with certain actions in Scholar's healing kit, such as Recitation and Adloquium. The increased chance of critical hits enhances both your damage output and healing potential, making it a desirable stat to prioritize.

  2. Determination and Direct Hit: Determination and Direct Hit both offer linear damage gains. However, Determination provides an additional benefit—it also enhances your healing capabilities. While the healing increase may be relatively small in most cases, the damage gain between Determination and Direct Hit is closely matched. In progression raiding, where healing differences matter the most, Determination may be preferred.

  3. Spell Speed: Spell Speed reduces the cast and recast time for GCD spells, as well as providing linear scaling for damage-over-time effects (DoTs) and healing-over-time effects (HoTs). In isolation, Spell Speed offers a substantial increase in DPS. However, issues with alignment and increased mana expenditure make it a stat that can be generally avoided until reaching the maximum item level sets.

Balancing Mana Economy: The Significance of Piety As a Scholar, managing your mana economy is essential for executing your role effectively. Piety, a substat, plays a vital role in this regard. It is the most important substat in the game if it prevents you from running out of mana. However, having too much Piety can result in wasted potential damage output. To strike a balance, follow these guidelines:

  • Utilize Aetherflow and Lucid Dreaming on cooldown after the opener, ensuring efficient mana management.
  • Prioritize using oGCD (off-Global Cooldown) heals whenever possible, as they have no mana cost.
  • Employ Recitation on a GCD heal to eliminate its mana cost when a replacement is unavailable.
  • By adhering to these strategies, you can reduce the amount of Piety required to maintain comfortable healing.

Materia Melding: Optimizing Scholar's Performance Materia melding allows you to further enhance your gear and fine-tune your Scholar's performance. For specific endgame sets and optimized stat tier decisions, we recommend referring to our Scholar Best-in-Slot page. Mastering Scholar's Stat and Melding Priority: Unleashing the Scholar's Potential in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, understanding the intricacies of stat priority and optimal materia melding is crucial for optimizing your performance on the battlefield. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the stat priority for Scholar, highlighting the significance of each attribute, as well as provide insights into melding priority. Prepare to unlock the full potential of your Scholar and rise as a formidable healer in the realm of Eorzea.

Stat Priority: Maximizing Scholar's Effectiveness

  1. Weapon Damage and Mind: Weapon Damage and Mind play pivotal roles in enhancing your overall performance as a Scholar. These attributes have a significant impact and should be prioritized, particularly as you progress through higher item levels. Investing in weapons and gear that offer increased Weapon Damage and Mind will yield substantial improvements in both your healing potential and damage output.

  2. Critical Hit: Critical Hit emerges as one of the most potent substats for Scholar. Enhancing your Critical Hit chance significantly boosts your damage output, making it a crucial stat to prioritize. When melding materia, focus on pieces that can accommodate more Critical Hit materia, maximizing the benefits of this powerful substat.

  3. Piety (to comfort): Piety holds a unique position as a substat that addresses your mana management needs. While not necessarily a primary focus, melding Piety becomes important when you encounter issues with mana consumption during extended encounters. Balancing Piety to a level that provides comfort without sacrificing other valuable substats is key. Be mindful not to overinvest in Piety, as excessive amounts can result in diminished damage potential.

  4. Spell Speed (to desired tier): Spell Speed influences the cast and recast times of your GCD spells and has a linear scaling effect on DoTs and HoTs. While it may not be necessary to prioritize Spell Speed in most gear sets, it can be beneficial to meld around 2.40 GCD (941 SpS) as you approach the maximum item level and plan to run a 2.40 GCD endgame set. Keep in mind that Spell Speed has alignment issues and increased mana consumption, so melding this stat should be done with consideration.

  5. Direct Hit and Determination: Both Direct Hit and Determination contribute to your damage output, with Direct Hit slightly edging ahead in terms of DPS potential. Determination also provides a small healing gain, making it a valuable choice in progression scenarios where the healing difference matters. Melding these stats can be done based on personal preference and gear optimization.

Materia Melding: Enhancing Scholar's Performance

When melding materia, it is crucial to consider gear optimization and melding priority. While the generalized information provided in this guide offers valuable insights, specific endgame sets and optimization decisions may vary. For a detailed breakdown of optimal melding options and gear choices, we recommend referring to Scholar Best-in-Slot resources. Enhancing Scholar's Potency: Consumables for Optimal Performance in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, utilizing consumables effectively can significantly bolster your performance and elevate your gameplay to new heights. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the recommended consumables for Scholar, ensuring that you make informed choices to maximize your potential. It is important to note that all consumables should be of High Quality to obtain the highest possible stats. Normal Quality consumables provide significantly fewer benefits, and Normal Quality potions have a longer cooldown by 30 seconds.

Potions: Unleashing Scholar's DPS Potential To unleash your Scholar's DPS potential, it is recommended to use the highest tier Mind potion available. As of the current patch, 6.4, the Grade 7 Tincture of Mind stands as the pinnacle choice. These potent potions amplify your Mind stat, enabling you to deliver devastating damage with your spells. However, it is crucial to note that during progression raiding or encounters where mana management is paramount, you should prioritize carrying Super-Ethers. These emergency mana-infusing potions aid in recovering from a death or sustaining continuous casting during intense healing checks. Keep in mind that Super-Ethers share a cooldown with damage potions, so exercise caution and avoid using damage potions until you are ready to push for a clear.

Food: Nourishment for Scholar's Success Selecting the right food for your Scholar can provide invaluable benefits. Scholar's preferred food options typically prioritize Critical Hit, followed by either Direct Hit, Determination, or Spell Speed. In patch 6.4, two food options stand out: Pumpkin Potage and Thavnairian Chai. Both of these options offer excellent stat distributions to enhance your Scholar's performance. It is worth mentioning that as you progress and acquire higher item level sets, the included gearsets will specify the recommended food option. However, during the gearing process, either Pumpkin Potage or Thavnairian Chai can be utilized to great effect.

Choose Wisely, Excel Greatly By selecting and utilizing consumables with care, you can unlock the full potential of your Scholar. Remember to prioritize High Quality consumables to maximize the stat benefits they provide. Equip yourself with the Grade 7 Tincture of Mind for potent DPS output, while keeping Super-Ethers at hand for mana emergencies during challenging encounters. Enhance your Scholar's attributes further with the right food choice, focusing on Critical Hit and supplementary stats such as Direct Hit, Determination, or Spell Speed.

As you embark on thrilling adventures in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, let consumables become an integral part of your Scholar's arsenal. Embrace the power they offer, adapt your strategies to each encounter, and emerge as an exceptional Scholar in the vibrant realm of Eorzea.

Optimizing Healing Priority: A Scholar's Guide to Masterful Recovery in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

Disclaimer: This comprehensive guide focuses on level 90 Scholar play. While the principles and advice discussed here are tailored for this level of play, some concepts can be applied to other levels as well. Let us dive deep into the healing priorities of Scholar, equipping you with the knowledge and strategies to excel as a formidable healer.

Healing Priority: A Straightforward Approach Scholar's healing priority can be summed up in a simple hierarchy:

  1. Free oGCD (off-Global Cooldown) heals
  2. Aetherflow oGCD heals
  3. GCD (Global Cooldown) heals

Understanding this priority system is vital to optimize your healing efficiency and resource management. Let's explore each category and its associated costs:

  1. Free oGCD Heals: A Gift of Efficiency Free oGCD heals refer to abilities that come at no damage potency cost and generally have longer cooldowns. These invaluable healing tools allow you to provide immediate support without sacrificing any damage potential. While they may have limited uses due to cooldown restrictions, utilizing them judiciously can significantly contribute to your overall healing efficiency.

  2. Aetherflow oGCD Heals: Balancing Potency and Cooldowns Aetherflow oGCD heals offer a trade-off between healing potency and cooldown durations. These abilities require an expenditure of 100 potency, equivalent to the damage of one Energy Drain, but come with shorter cooldowns. Balancing the utilization of Aetherflow oGCD heals is crucial, as they provide a substantial healing boost while still allowing you to maintain a respectable damage output.

  3. GCD Heals: Balancing Potency and Resource Consumption GCD heals are your primary means of healing, but they come at a higher cost. With a potency of 295 (or even more in multi-target scenarios), GCD heals can significantly drain your mana reserves. It is important to note that GCD heals do not have any cooldowns beyond being bound to the Global Cooldown timer. Therefore, using GCD heals should be a strategic decision, considering both their potency and the mana expenditure required.

Collaborative Healing: The Cohealer's Role Healing is a collaborative effort between you and your cohealer. Together, your goal is to minimize the collective cost of keeping the party alive. Remember that the responsibility of healing and mitigation extends beyond just the healers; other party members can contribute to the overall healing efforts. Encourage party members to use their own healing abilities and mitigation tools to alleviate the burden on the healers, fostering a more balanced and efficient healing strategy.

Mastering the Healing Dance By following the established healing priority and collaborating effectively with your cohealer and party members, you can master the art of Scholar healing. Adapting your healing strategy to match the intensity of the encounter, optimizing cooldown usage, and balancing resource consumption will elevate your Scholar gameplay to new heights.

Unleashing the Power of Free oGCD Healing: Scholar's First Line of Defense in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, your ability to maximize the effective usage of free oGCD (off-Global Cooldown) healing abilities is paramount in every encounter. These invaluable tools serve as your first line of defense, allowing you to swiftly respond to incoming damage and provide immediate support to your allies. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the diverse array of free oGCD healing abilities at your disposal, categorized into both single-target and AoE (area-of-effect) options. Remember that while categorized separately, many of these abilities can be effectively utilized for both single-target and AoE healing, depending on the situation at hand.

Single-Target Free oGCD Healing:

  1. Lustrate: This potent ability instantly restores a significant amount of HP to a single target, making it ideal for critical situations where immediate healing is required. Utilize Lustrate strategically to save allies from the brink of defeat.

  2. Excogitation: By pre-placing a powerful healing effect on a target, Excogitation provides a safety net for that ally. When their HP falls below a specified threshold, Excogitation triggers and instantly restores a substantial amount of HP. Use this ability wisely to anticipate heavy damage and mitigate potential threats.

  3. Sacred Soil: Sacred Soil creates an area of effect that reduces incoming damage for allies standing within its boundaries. This powerful defensive measure offers valuable mitigation during intense encounters. Place Sacred Soil strategically to protect your party members and lessen the strain on healing resources.

AoE Free oGCD Healing:

  1. Whispering Dawn: By invoking the soothing powers of nature, Whispering Dawn emits a gentle aura that gradually restores HP to all party members within range. This versatile ability can be employed both in moments of sustained AoE damage and to provide ongoing healing support during challenging encounters.

  2. Fey Illumination: Harness the magical essence of your fairy companion to enhance the effectiveness of your healing spells. Fey Illumination increases the potency of your healing abilities for a brief duration, ensuring that your AoE heals have a greater impact on the well-being of your allies.

  3. Fey Covenant: Engage the mystical bond with your fairy to shield your party from incoming magical damage. Fey Covenant reduces magical damage taken by all party members within range, bolstering their resilience and mitigating potential threats.

Mastering the Art of Free oGCD Healing To unleash the full potential of your free oGCD healing abilities, precise timing and strategic decision-making are essential. As you traverse the captivating realms of Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, adapt your healing strategies to each encounter, anticipating the ebb and flow of battle. Embrace the versatility of your abilities, combining single-target and AoE heals as necessary to ensure the well-being of your allies.

Remember, healing is not solely the responsibility of the Scholar alone. Encourage your cohealer and party members to contribute their own healing and mitigation abilities, fostering a collaborative environment that optimizes overall healing effectiveness.

Step into the Role of a Master Healer Equip yourself with the knowledge and understanding of Scholar's free oGCD healing abilities. Embrace the challenges that await, hone your healing prowess, and emerge as an exceptional Scholar in the vibrant realm of Eorzea. Harnessing the Essence of Aetherflow: Scholar's Aetherflow oGCD Healing in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, your Aetherflow oGCD (off-Global Cooldown) healing abilities play a vital role in situations where free healing alone cannot adequately address incoming damage. With a relatively low cost of 100 potency, these abilities become crucial during progression, especially in challenging encounters and intense healing checks. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore the diverse range of Aetherflow oGCD healing abilities available to Scholars, categorized into both single-target and AoE (area-of-effect) options. It is important to note that Sacred Soil stands as the highest priority Aetherflow heal in both scenarios, due to its exceptional effectiveness.

Single-Target Aetherflow oGCD Healing:

  1. Excogitation (non-Recitation): Excogitation is a potent delayed heal that triggers when a target's HP falls below 50% or when its duration expires. While powerful, it is crucial to note that Excogitation alone may not prevent a target from being one-shot if they sustain massive damage above 50% HP. Excogitation serves as your go-to single-target Aetherflow heal when Sacred Soil is on cooldown or when AoE healing takes precedence.

  2. Lustrate: Lustrate is a moderate heal with an almost instant cooldown, allowing you to utilize it whenever you have Aetherflow stacks available. This ability serves as your fallback single-target Aetherflow heal when Excogitation is on cooldown or when utilizing longer cooldowns for spot healing is not necessary.

AoE Aetherflow oGCD Healing:

  1. Sacred Soil: Sacred Soil stands as an immensely powerful ability, combining a robust Heal-over-Time (HoT) effect with valuable mitigation on a remarkably short cooldown. When placed, Sacred Soil grants an additional tick of healing, resulting in a total of six ticks over a 15-second duration. This ability represents the pinnacle of Aetherflow healing, and during progression, it should be used liberally. Do not hesitate to employ Sacred Soil for nearly every raidwide damage event initially, gradually adjusting its usage as you become more acquainted with the fight.

  2. Indomitability (non-Recitation): Indomitability is a moderately potent AoE heal. Whenever possible, it is advisable to preserve Aetherflow stacks and prioritize other healing options. However, during progression and healing-intensive moments, Indomitability will still find its place in your arsenal, contributing to the overall healing efforts.

Balancing Aetherflow Resources: A Scholar's Skill Effectively managing your Aetherflow resources is key to mastering the art of Scholar healing. Precise decision-making and understanding the flow of each encounter will allow you to optimize the usage of Aetherflow oGCD healing abilities. As you traverse the captivating realms of Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, adapt your healing strategies to suit the unique demands of each situation, leveraging the versatility of your Aetherflow arsenal to provide optimal support to your allies.

Collaborative Healing: The Power of Unity Remember that healing is a collaborative effort, not solely the responsibility of the Scholar. Encourage your cohealer and party members to utilize their own healing and mitigation abilities, fostering a cooperative environment that maximizes overall healing effectiveness. By working together, you can overcome the most formidable challenges and emerge victorious.

Embrace the Essence of Aetherflow Equip yourself with the knowledge and understanding of Scholar's Aetherflow oGCD healing abilities. As you embark on thrilling adventures in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4 expansion, let the essence of Aetherflow guide your healing prowess, ensuring the well-being of your comrades and triumphing over the most daunting trials.

Step into the role of a Scholar, tap into the power of Aetherflow, and leave an indelible mark on the realm of Eorzea as an esteemed healer.

Fortifying the Last Line of Defense: Scholar's GCD Healing in Final Fantasy XIV's Endwalker 6.4

As a Scholar, your GCD (Global Cooldown) healing abilities serve as your last line of defense, ensuring the safety and well-being of your party members. However, it is important to exercise caution when utilizing these abilities, as they have a significant impact on both your DPS and mana resources. Striking a delicate balance between maintaining damage output and prioritizing party safety becomes crucial. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the intricacies of Scholar's GCD healing abilities, categorized into both single-target and AoE (area-of-effect) options.

Single-Target GCD Healing:

  1. Adloquium: Adloquium stands as your standard single-target GCD heal, providing a combination of pure healing and a substantial shield. It should rarely be required for actual single-target healing. Instead, Adloquium is commonly utilized in specific scenarios such as when a party member takes significant damage from a mechanic, when someone has been revived, or when a tank makes a critical mistake. Furthermore, by employing Deployment Tactics, Adloquium can be used to extend the shield to the entire party, proving invaluable during progression and when preparing for the most intense, hard-hitting mechanics.

  2. Physick: Physick serves as a weaker single-target GCD heal that consumes minimal mana. Ideally, this ability should be avoided, and its usage should be limited. However, in cases of urgent and immediate healing needs, when other oGCD heals are unavailable, and when Adloquium would be too slow, Physick can serve as a temporary solution. It is important to note that minimizing the usage of Physick is essential to maintain optimal healing efficiency.

AoE GCD Healing:

  1. Succor: Succor represents your only AoE GCD heal, offering a combination of pure healing and a larger shield. During progression, Succor can be utilized as a safety net for hard-hitting mechanics, providing additional protection to the entire party. In other scenarios, Succor serves as your last resort fallback, primarily employed during healing-intensive moments and crucial healing checks.

Balancing DPS and Party Safety: Scholar's Ultimate Challenge Achieving a delicate balance between maximizing your DPS contributions and ensuring the safety of your party members lies at the heart of Scholar gameplay. As you grow accustomed to each encounter and gain a deeper understanding of the fight mechanics, strive to remove the dependency on GCD healing whenever possible. Scholar Healer Gear and Best in Slot — Endwalker 6.4

Welcome to our comprehensive guide on Scholar Healer gear and best-in-slot items for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker (Patch 6.4). Equipping your Scholar with the optimal gear is essential for maximizing your healing potential and supporting your party through the challenging encounters that await you in the realms of Eorzea.

When considering the best gear for your Scholar, it is important to prioritize certain stats that enhance your healing capabilities. Below, we provide a breakdown of the primary stats to focus on:

  1. Mind: Mind is the primary stat for healers and significantly increases the potency of your healing spells. It should be prioritized above all other stats.

  2. Critical Hit: Critical Hit provides a chance for your healing spells to critically strike, resulting in increased healing output. It synergizes well with Scholar's abilities, such as Recitation and Adloquium.

  3. Piety: Piety increases your maximum MP, allowing for more sustained healing without running out of mana. Balancing Piety is crucial, as having too much can lead to wasted potential damage.

  4. Determination: Determination increases both your healing and damage output. While its impact on healing is relatively small, it can be preferable in progression raiding where every bit of healing matters.

  5. Direct Hit: Direct Hit increases your chance to land critical hits, providing a consistent boost to healing and damage. However, Scholar gear does not naturally have Direct Hit, so melding it may be necessary.

As you progress through Endwalker's challenging content, you will acquire gear with increasingly higher item levels. It is important to regularly update your gear to stay competitive. Consult our Best-in-Slot (BiS) list for Scholar Healers to determine the optimal gear for your character at each stage of your journey.

Note: BiS gear decisions may differ due to stat tier optimization and alignment considerations. Therefore, it is recommended to refer to our Scholar Best-in-Slot page for up-to-date and tailored gear recommendations.
