Evolution of Gameplay: Notable Changes Ahead

• PvP gear can now have it's PvE item level be upgraded with flightstones and crests instead of honor.
• All PvP activities reward flightstones, and crests can be earned from rated PvP activities.
• The cooldown of  Gladiator's Medallion is now 90 seconds for all healer specializations (was 120 seconds).
• All Arena pools now have 2 additional maps. Pool A: Black Rook Hold and Ruins of Lordaeron. Pool B: Hook Point and The Robodrome. Pool C: Tol’viron Arena and Dalaran Sewers.

DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 3 PVP GEAR

Dragonflight Season 3 is increasing the PvP item levels caps. The table below has updated item levels for Dragonflight Season 3's PvP gear. Seltherex and Calderax in Valdrakken are the  Honor and  Conquest gear vendors, while crafted gear can be purcashed on the auction house, or crafted through work orders.

 Trophy of Strife and  Bloody Tokens are being reset with the launch of Dragonflight Season 3.  Trophy of Strife will convert into items that can be sold for gold. War Mode gear can be bought from Fieldmaster Emberath in Valdrakken.

BATTLEGROUND BLITZ

Battleground Blitz is a new 8v8 solo-queue brawl coming in Dragonflight Season 3.

• Blizzard's goal with BG Blitz is to be the Solo Shuffle equivalent for Rated Battlegrounds.
• BG Blitz will start out as a Brawl, and a Rated mode will be added in the future if successful.
• Blitz can be queued solo, or duo with a healer.
• Each team will have 2 healers, 5-6 DPS, and 0-1 tanks. Each team will have the same number of tanks.
• The map pool will be the same as in Rated Battlegrounds.
• General changes have been made to speed up the game time to around 10-12 minutes.
• New power-ups have been added on some maps, such as increased cooldown reduction.

DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 3 PVP REWARDS

Dragonflight Season 3 rewards new unique mounts, titles, a full conversion Dragonriding appearance, and more.  Dragonflight Season 3 Hero awards  Emerald Blossom Dreamstone, which adds new visual effects for the Season 3 class sets. It can be earned from one of 3 ways:  Mythic: Fyrakk the Blazing,  Dragonflight Keystone Hero: Season Three, or  Elite: Dragonflight Season 3.  Dragonflight Season 3 Master is an easier version of  Dragonflight Season 3 Hero, and rewards  Emerald Mark of Mastery, which is exchanged for a PvP or PvE class set piece of choice.

Various Raid and Crafted items have had their effectiveness changed in PvP.

•  Fyrakk's Tainted Rageheart absorb reduced by 50%
•  Augury of the Primal Flame’s effectiveness of Annhilating Flame proc reduced by 60%
•  Belor'relos, the Suncaller on-use effect reduced by 75%
•  Bandolier of Twisted Blades on-use effect damage reduced by 60%
•  Flourishing Dream Helm absorption effects reduced by 50%
•  Rashon, the Immortal Blaze damage reduced by 75%
•  Gholak, the Final Conflagration damage reduced by 75%
•  Thorncaller Claw damage over time effect reduced by 60%
•  Dreambinder, Loom of the Great Cycle damage and slow amount reduced by 50%. Immobilization does not work against enemy players.
•  Ouroboreal Necklet absorption reduced by 70%
•  Incandescent Essence enchantment effects reduced by 70%

Balance

•  Star Burst damage reduced by 25%.

Restoration

• New PvP Talent:  Call of the Elder Druid – When you shift into a combat shapeshift form, you gain  Heart of the Wild for 15 seconds, once every 1 minute.
•  Disentanglement now reduces the mana cost of  Efflorescence by 40% (was 25%).

Evoker

Preservation

•  Living Flame healing is no longer increased by 12%
•  Verdant Embrace healing is no longer increased by 20%

Hunter

•  Survival Tactics has been redesigned –  Feign Death reduces damage taken by 90% for 3 seconds.

Monk

•  Expel Harm damage reduced by 50%.

Mistweaver

•  Enveloping Mist no longer increased by 15%.
•  Vivify direct healing is reduced by 20% (was 10%).
•  Refreshing Breeze has been removed.

Paladin

Holy

•  Holy Light healing no longer increased by 47%.
•  Barrier of Faith is now 100% more effective.
•  Aura Mastery now increases the effectiveness of  Devotion Aura to 24% (was 30%).

Priest

• The backlash effects of  Vampiric Touch,  Stellar Flare,  Unstable Affliction,  Glimmer of Light, and  Flame Shock will now land on Priests during  Phase Shift.

Discipline

•  Atonement is now 36% more effective (was 89%).
•  Flash Heal is no longer increased by 30% in PvP combat.

Holy

•  Heal is no longer increased by 57%

Shadow

•  Focused Will now reduces physical damage taken by 15% and magic damage taken by 5% (was all damage by 10%) for Shadow.

Rogue

•  Superior Mixture is now 50% effective.
•  Sudden Demise now has a health threshold of 10% (base 35%) and bleed damage requirement of 250% of remaining health (base 200%)

Outlaw

•  Killing Spree damage no longer increased (was 5%).

Shaman

Restoration

•  Healing Surge healing no longer increased by 20%.
•  Healing Wave healing increased by 20% (was 56%).

Warlock

•  Demon Skin now additionally grants a 45/90% armor increase.

Affliction

•  Rapid Contagion has been removed.
• New PvP Talent:  Jinx – Casting a curse now applies  Corruption and  Agony to your target, but curses now costs 1 Soul Shard.
•  Corruption damage is now increased by 25% (was 10%).
•  Agony damage is now increased by 40% (was 25%).
•  Unstable Affliction damage is now increased by 40% (was 25%).
•  Oblivion now costs 2 Soul Shards (was 3).
•  Rampant Afflictions now reduces the damage of  Unstable Affliction by 50% (was 25%).

Warrior

• New PvP Talent –  Safeguard:  Intervene now has 2 charges and reduces the ally’s damage taken by 20% for 5 seconds.  Intervene’s cooldown is increased by 10 seconds.
• New PvP Talent –  Battlefield Commander: Your Shout abilities have additional effects -  Battle Shout: Increases Stamina by 3%,  Piercing Howl: Roots targets hit for 2 seconds,  Berserker Shout: Range increased by 8 yards,  Intimidating Shout: Cooldown reduced by 15 seconds, Rallying Cry: Removes movement impairing effects and grants 30% movement speed to allies,  Thunderous Roar: Targets receive 5% more damage from all sources while bleeding.
•  Storm of Destruction has been redesigned – Reduces the cooldown of  Ravager and  Bladestorm by 30%, and  Ravager and  Bladestorm now also snare all targets you hit by 70% for 8 seconds.
•  Storm of Destruction is now available as a PvP talent for Fury and Protection Warrior.
